Oakland Beach Association Usage Rules 2009
2009 OAKLAND BEACH ASSOCIATION RULES
1) Non-members, including but not limited to a renter of member's property, are prohibited
from utilizing the common areas.
2.) Association Member MUST accompany guests at all times. You are responsible for actions of your guests.
3.) Friends, relatives and guests boating on the lake and stopping to use the Oakland Beach
amenities is not allowed unless accompanied by a member.
(i.e. Port-a-potty, boat landing, or parking area)
4.) Swimming is allowing in roped area only.
5.) Unauthorized use of a boat owner's equipment, by a member or a member's guest, is a
major infraction and will be handled accordingly.
6.) Any boat, PWC, or canoe left beached or unattended will be subject to a dock fee.
7.) Only Dock Members are allowed to use the slips. Watercraft moored in slips must be
registered to the Association Member. Oakland Beach Association Members are only allowed
to tie up for the day on the outside of the north dock section (No over night slippage).
8.) No overnight parking of any vehicle is allowed in the beach parking lot.
Vehicles will be subject to tow at the owner's expense.
9.) Trailer parking is not allowed in the beach parking lot and will be subject to tow
at the owner's expense.
10.) Operation of motorized vehicles is prohibited inside the park area.
11.) The gate is to remain locked except while a member is launching their boat.
12.) All boat lifts are required to have wheels attached while installing, removing,
and moving your lifts on the beach property.
13.) There is a limit of two picnic tables per member group for parties.
Please call Becky Saad (952-440-5379) to make reservations if you wish to host
a large group. She also has access to volleyball equipment.
The contact person may change; look on www.oaklandbeach.org for updated information on
attaining reservations and equipment.
Hosts accept responsibility for the actions of their guests and are responsible for
the clean up after their party and bringing trash generated from the party home.
14.) No dogs or pets are allowed at the Oakland Beach Park Area. A reminder to all pet owners
that Prior Lake has a leash law for dogs. Please be respectful of your neighbors and
pick up after your dog.
15.) All children under the age of 10 MUST be accompanied by an adult.
16.) No one under 18 may host a party at the beach without an adult Association Member
supervising on the premises.
The park is officially closed at 12 midnight.
Prior Lake has a curfew for 14 and under of 10:00 PM and 15 and 16 year olds
of 12 midnight.
Please be respectful of your neighbors with concern of the noise levels and time.
17.) No one under the age of 18 is permitted to start and maintain a bonfire without an adult
member present. Burning materials other than firewood is prohibited.
18.) No unsupervised children are allowed on the docks.
19.) If any association member observes a violation, it is your responsibility to warn the
individual to stop. If they do not respond, please contact a board member. Any further
violation could result in loss of membership privileges at the board's discretion
(loss of privileges for the remaining season and reinstatement of initiation dues
for the following season).
Cooperation from all members, respect for fellow members and neighbors is the secret
to a successful association and an enjoyable summer. Thank you [2009]
